Aged Care Traineeships

Traineeships are jobs that combine work, structured training and formal assessment, which lead to a qualification.

Traineeships can be undertaken on a full time or part-time basis and can be used as a valuable stepping stone to further your career in your chosen industry.

As part of the traineeship you will become an employee of Amana Living for a minimum period of 12 months. On successful completion of your traineeship program you may continue to work with Amana Living to enhance your career in the care industry.

To be eligible you must

• have a kind nature;

• be interested in pursuing a career in aged care;

• be either an Australian citizen, permanent resident or comply with the relevant visa requirements; and

• pass a physical assessment of your ability to perform the requirements of the role.

Anyone of working age, who is interested in a career in aged care, can become a trainee for Amana Living (subject to citizenship or visa conditions).

A trainee must be employed on a full-time or permanent part-time basis.

A traineeship contract is a formal training and employment agreement between an employer, employee and Registered Training Organisation (RTO). In this case, it would be between the successful trainee, Amana Living and the Amana Living Training Institute.

Training contracts are registered with State or Territory training authorities.
